Collection: 2.0 mL Primary Serum in Red Top Tube; Plasma in Dark Green Top tube accepted NO GEL BARRIER.
Pediatric volume: 0.5 mL (Plasma or Serum)

Stability: after separation from cells Room Temp = 48 hours, Refrigerated 5 days, Frozen 6

months.

 

Notes: 

Voriconazole is an antifungal agent approved for treatment of invasiveaspergillosis and candidemia/candidiasis, as well as for salvage therapy for infections in patients

refractory to or intolerant of other antifungal therapy. The drug inhibits the fungal enzyme 14a-steroldemethylase, a critical step in ergosterol biosynthesis.

Reference Interval: 

Therapeautic Range: 1.0 6.0 ug/mL (Trough)

Toxic Range: Greater than 6.0 ug/mL
