Chemiluminescent Immunometric Assay

Specimen Requirements: 

Collection: 5.0 mL Blood in a Gold Top Tube
Completed First Trimester Risk Assessment Form. Nuchal Translucency measurement during first trimester. Sample must be drawn between 10 weeks 3 day and 13 weeks 6 days. Crown Rump Length must be between 36 mm and 79.3 mm
Stability: After separation from cells 7 days at 2-8C and 1 month frozen.

 

Notes: 

Includes PAPP-A and Human Chorionic Gonadotropin. Crown Rump Length and Nuchal Translucency are used to determine Down Syndrome Risk. If Nuchal Translucency is unobtainable, a Biochemical Screen can be ordered in the second trimester.
