Specimen Requirements: 

Collection: 5.0 mL Blood in a Gold Top Tube
Collection time required. Completed MSAFP Second Trimester Risk Assessment Form. Completed first trimester testing which included PAPP-A and Nuchal Translucency measurement. Sample must be drawn between 15 weeks 0 days and 22 weeks 6 days gestation.
Stability: After separation from cells 7 days at 2-8C and 1 month frozen.

 

Notes: 

Includes Unconjugated Estriol, Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, Alpha-fetoprotein, and Inhibin A. Results of Crown Rump Length and Nuchal Translucency are used to determine Down Syndrome Risk.
