Semi-Quantitative Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay, Turbidimetric

Schedule: 

Monday- Friday

Reported: 

5 days for all tests to be completed

Specimen Requirements: 

Collection: 10.0 mL Blood in a Gold Top Tube.
Pediatric volume: 4 mL.
Unacceptable conditions: Grossly hemolyzed specimens.
Stability: After separation from cells: IgA- Ambient: 48 hours; Refrigerated: 7 days; Frozen: 3 months. Tissue Transgutaminase IgA and IgG, and Deaminated Gliadin Peptide IgA and IgG: Ambient: 48 hours; Refrigerated: 2 weeks; Frozen: 3 months

 

Notes: 

Reflex Criteria: If IgA is less than 7 mg/dL, then tTG IgG and Gliadin Peptide IgG will be added. If IgA is greater than or equal to 7 mg/dL, then tTG IgA and Gliadin Peptide IgA will be added. Additional charges apply.

Clinical Indications: Preferred panel for Celiac Disease testing. The finding of Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) antibodies and/or Deamidated Gliadin Peptide (DGP) antibodies may indicate a diagnosis of celiac disease.
