Specimen Requirements: 

Collection: 5.0 mL Blood in a Gold Top Tube.
Pediatric volume: 2 mL.
Unacceptable conditions: Grossly hemolyzed specimens.
Stability: After separation from cells: Immunoglobulin A: Refrigerated: 7 days; Frozen: 3 months; tTG antibody IgA and DGP antibodies IgA and IgG: Ambient: 48 hours; Refrigerated: 2 weeks; Frozen: 3 months



Clinical Indications: The finding of Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) antibodies and/or Deamidated Gliadin Peptide (DGP) antibodies may indicate a diagnosis of celiac disease.
