Notes: 

Clinical Indications: Mycoplasma pneumoniae is the most common cause of pneumonia and febrile upper-respiratory tract infections in the general population. A positive M. pneumoniae membrane IgM antibody titer may indicate an ongoing infection, although sensitivity and specificity may be relatively low.
