Specimen Requirements: 

Collection: 1.0 mL Blood in a Lavender Top Tube.

If samples are to be tested within 24 hours of

collection, they may be stored at room temperature (18 - 25C). Samples can be stored refrigerated (2-

8C) for up to one week or frozen (-20C) for up to 2 months.
Pediatric volume: 0.5 mL.
Handling: Do not draw through central line.

 

Notes: 

Cannot be added to an EDTA tube that has been centrifuged or left at room temp for greater than 8 hours.

Reference Interval: 

Reference range applies to trough level only.
Reference Range: 5 - 20 ng/mL
