Methodology: Quantitative Liquid Chromatography/Tandem Mass Spectrometry
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Reported: 10 days for routine orders.
Specimen Requirements:  Collection: 4.0 mL Urine in a Yellow Top Tube - Urine.
Pediatric volume: 3.0 mL.
Random urine. Avoid dilute urine when possible.
Unacceptable conditions: Sample shipped not frozen.
Stability: Ambient: Unacceptable; Refrigerated: 24 hours; Frozen: 1 month


Clinical Indications: Clinical information is needed for appropriate interpretation. Additional required information includes age, gender, diet (eg, TPN therapy), drug therapy, and family history.
