Clinical Indications: IL-1 is a proinflammatory cytokine and has also been associated with bone formation, insulin secretion, appetite regulation, fever reduction, neuronal development, and other conditions. Cytokine levels may demonstrate diurnal variation. Recommend cytokine levels be determined at the same time of day for improved longitudinal comparison.
