Specimen Requirements:  Collection: 5.0 mL Bone Marrow in Lavender Top.
Pediatric volume: 1.0 mL.
Handling: Do not Freeze..
Unacceptable conditions: Serum or plasma. Frozen or clotted specimens. Specimens collected in anticoagulants other than EDTA. Severely hemolyzed specimens.
Stability: Refrigerated: 5 days


Clinical Indications: Initial test for prognostication of CN-AML. Negative result does not preclude the presence of CEBPA mutations in rare AML cells below the detection limit of this test.
