Specimen Requirements:  Collection: 3.0 mL Blood in a Dark Green Top Tube.
Pediatric volume: 1 mL.
Aseptically collect whole blood into a specimen collection tube containing sodium heparin.
Transport: Store and transport at room temp only.
Handling: *STAT PICK UP* Test available by prior arrangement only. Special sample collection and transportation arrangements must be made prior to ordering the test. Contact your local Customer Service department and request to speak to someone in Referral Testing department for specific instructions.
Unacceptable conditions: Hemolysis Lipemia Samples received >30 hours after collection Received refrigerated Received frozen
Stability: Room temperature: 30 hours


Clinical Indications: This measurement of cellular mediated immunity may be valuable in a variety of applications including transplantation, management of infectious diseases (e.g., HIV, HCV), autoimmunity, cancer, as well as vaccine and drug development
